Trust is the foundation of good work. That’s why we’re introducing verifications in the Work app — an in-person process that grants a visible badge to clients and freelancers who pass. With this step, anyone can prove they’re either a reputable business or a responsible worker.
Why we’re doing this
The Work app already hosts thousands of freelancers. Some are more responsible, some less so. For clients, it means making sure they collaborate with people who can deliver. For freelancers, it means knowing which businesses are trustworthy partners.
We want to make those choices easier. Alongside ratings and completed jobs statistics, verifications add another layer of trust. They ensure that both sides know who they’re dealing with — making work relationships more reliable, productive, and fair.
How it’s different from WorldID
WorldID is a reliable proof that you are a unique human being — not a bot, not a fake account. That’s already a huge step for digital interactions. Work, however, goes a step further. It proves that you can actually get things done.
Our verification process complements WorldID by bringing trust into the business environment, where accountability matters just as much as authenticity.
Getting verified
The process is simple:
- Open the app and click the banner on the home screen.
- Submit your details — name, email, and a few links to your social profiles.
- Pay small fee.
- We’ll reach out to schedule a quick interview.
If the interview goes well, you’ll get your badge right away. If not, don’t worry — you can try again later. Sometimes it just takes more time, more experience, or more proof of your skills.
