Today we’re launching AI negotiations — a new feature that negotiates applicant bids on your behalf, right in the chat, and saves you money on every hire.

Introducing AI negotiations

Negotiations are hard

Anyone who has hired freelancers knows the drill. An applicant bids high, you counter, they push back, and a simple hire turns into a long back-and-forth. Sometimes it gets heated. Multiply that by dozens of applicants, and negotiation becomes a job of its own — one that most clients skip entirely, accepting bids as they come and overpaying as a result.

How AI negotiations work

When you enable AI negotiations on a job, AI takes over the bargaining for you. This is how it works, step by step:

  1. Enable the feature. Turn on AI negotiations for any of your jobs.
  2. Set the tone. Choose how aggressively AI should negotiate — from a gentle nudge to a hard bargain.
  3. Let AI talk. When an applicant places a bid, AI starts a conversation with them in the chat and works to bring the price down.
  4. The freelancer decides. Whenever AI makes an offer, the freelancer can accept it with a single tap on the Accept button — in that same chat.

Once an offer is accepted, the new price applies to the bid and you hire as usual. No extra steps, no separate flows.

Introducing AI negotiations

Fair to both sides

AI negotiations is built to make bargaining faster and calmer, not one-sided. Freelancers get instant responses instead of waiting days for a counter, and every conversation stays free of the friction that human negotiations sometimes bring. Most importantly, the freelancer is always in control: no price changes unless they tap Accept. We hope clients will love the savings, and freelancers will appreciate a quick, transparent way to close the deal. Ready to try AI negotiations? Enable it on your next job, set how hard AI should bargain, and let it handle the rest.
